Title

If your vessel has a title, you might need a paper title for the purpose of selling the vessel or transferring title to another state or country. An electronic title can be converted into paper format in one of four ways: 

1. Online from our office - have your electronic title converted to paper and pick it up in any Service Center
2. Online from the FLHSMV - have your electronic title converted to paper and mailed to an address you designate
3. By mail 
4. In-person at any Service Center, an appointment is required for North Port

When you bring a vessel into Florida, purchase a new vessel, or purchase a vessel from an individual, you must apply for a registration and title in your name. Click the link below for specific information related to each transaction.
