Service Updates for Our Office

Serving Sarasota County Only
Appointments or walk-in service will be provided to Sarasota County residents, businesses, seasonal residents, and those establishing residency only. This change will enable us to more efficiently serve the residents of Sarasota County. If you live outside of Sarasota County, please visit your Tax Collector.

Appointments are recommended for all services and can be scheduled online. Appointments are required for the Road or Written Test, Concealed Weapon License, and any service in the North Port Office.

If you are having trouble making your appointment online or need additional assistance, call 941.861.8300 or email Info@SarasotaTaxCollector.gov.

County-Held Tax Certificates

County-held tax certificates are available for purchase online at an interest rate of 18% per year. These are the tax certificates that were not purchased at the annual June sale. You can view the list of available certificates without registering as an investor. However, you must register in order to purchase certificates. More information is available online.
